Workshop

Things Non-negligible is a new workshop by SUH Dasom, developed as an extension of her ongoing project Practice Makes Practice, which began in 2019. The artist conducted wokshops that encompass video installation and sound.

For the first session, the artist invited “dokkaebilike” people for a two-day gathering. The process was documented on video and presented during GIAF25 at the Seven-Roomed Yeogwan, alongside an installation. Building on this, a second workshop was held during the festival with 6 to 8 participants who made reservations. Participants listened to the dialogues between the dokkaebis from the first gathering and shared a meal based on the artist’s reinterpretation of “food dokkaebi enjoys”. Through this process, SUH sought to find teachings about life in the behaviors of contemporary dokkaebis and share them with the audience.
