Seven-Roomed Yeogwan
Seven-Roomed Yeogwan, a coffee shop on Gyeonggang-ro in the city of Gangneung, Gangwon-do, was renovated from an old hanok (traditional Korean house) that had previously been used as an inn. The inn originally consisted of seven rooms, which inspired the name of the present-day 7 Coffee. This site offers visitors to Gangneung a distinctive and memorable experience by preserving the classical charm of the past incorporating a modern atmosphere.
The Gangneung International Art Festival 2025(GIAF25) features programs at Seven-Roomed Yeogwan centered on citizen participation led by artists, alongside an exhibition of the artists’ works. Visitors are invited to explore artistic imagination and experience the charm of this unique place, where the past and the present intersect.
