Program

GIAF25 utilizes regional climate data in collaboration with the Gangwon Meteorological Administration and helps children understand Gangneung’s unique climate and natural environment.
To that end, a free docent program is offered, customized to children’s perspectives.

Gangwon Meteorological Administration

As one of the regional branches of the Korea Meteorological Administration, the Gangwon Meteorological Administration is responsible for weather observation, forecasting, and climate data analysis in Gangwon-do. Characterized by mountainous terrain and a long coastline with diverse and complicated weather patterns, Gangneung relies on the Gangwon Meteorological Administration to provide region-specific weather services. As a key partner in GIAF25, the administration contributes to the local art and culture scene by providing data on Gangneung’s unique climatic phenomena.
