Program

GIAF25 utilizes regional climate data in collaboration with the Gangwon Regional Office of Meteorology and helps children understand Gangneung’s unique climate and natural environment.
To that end, a free docent program is offered, customized to children’s perspectives.

Gangwon Regional Office of Meteorology

As one of the regional branches of the Korea Meteorological Administration, the Gangwon Regional Office of Meteorology is responsible for weather observation, forecasting, and climate data analysis in Gangwon-do. Characterized by mountainous terrain and a long coastline with diverse and complicated weather patterns, Gangneung relies on the Gangwon Regional Office of Meteorology to provide region-specific weather services. As a key partner in GIAF25, the administration contributes to the local art and culture scene by providing data on Gangneung’s unique climatic phenomena.
