Kiwalim is an artist duo composed of KIM Gihoon (b. 1990) and KIM Dlelim (b. 1990), selected through the GIAF25 open call for artists based in the Gangwon region. Working across photography, video, performance, installation, and tapestry, the duo draws on their different artistic approaches to explore moments from everyday life, each bringing a unique perspective to the collaboration. KIM Gihoon focuses on capturing the fractures that arise in daily life, questioning their causes and possible solutions—primarily through photography and video. KIM Dlelim, on the other hand, draws from personal experiences, translating everyday themes into performance and installation works.

At GIAF25, the duo presented newly commissioned works that fragmented elements of daily life— using sound, objects, images, text, and video— to recompose the mise-en-scène of lived experience. The artists also led a participatory workshop Les choses for participants of the City Docent & City Guide. Kiwalim’s practice dismantles and reconfigures everyday narratives rooted in domestic space, persistently blurring the boundaries between art and life.

Kiwalim’s major solo exhibitions include Acting! Waves~ And Then, (Chilsung Shipyard, Sokcho, 2024) and 128 Flux_Deep Boredom: Swimming (ART SPACE 128, Daejeon, 2023).
